1) They are currently a member in good standing at Knollwood Baptist Church,
2) Their lives conform to the qualifications of Elder/overseer as depicted in 1 Timothy 3:1- 13 and Titus 1:5-9, specifically that they are: self-controlled, hospitable, able to teach, gentle, not quarrelsome, not a lover of money, not a recent convert, have a good reputation with outsiders, not overbearing, not quick-tempered, loves what is good, upright, holy, disciplined, above reproach, the husband of one wife, temperate, respectable, not given to drunkenness, manages their family well, their children obey them, don't pursue dishonest gain, keeps hold of the deep truths, sincere, tested, with wives who are: worthy of respect, not malicious talkers, temperate, and trustworthy in everything.
3) They are aware of the time commitment required to fulfil this role (10-20 hours per month),
4) If elected by congregational vote, have indicated their willingness to serve in this office.
5) Are not currently-sitting as an Elder finishing his term this year.
